About the Classes: SitSpot group classes are limited to a maximum of 8 dogs. Our classes are based on fun and proven clicker training methodology that typically results in a calmer, more confident dog who is happily responsive to your needs. This positive motivational approach helps build trust in the relationship while engaging your dog in fun, constructive learning.

SitSpot classes focus on real-life issues and concerns for pet dog owners. Some of the key focal areas are:

* teaching dogs to pay attention when asked

* teaching dogs to greet people politely

* polite leash walking

We incorporate games and low-level agility obstacles in our classes because they are fun and build confidence.

Group classes are available for: Level II Obedience and Canine Good Citizen Test preparation. We also offer Preliminary Agility and Rally classes when weather permits. If you would like to receive the schedule please contact us with your email or snail mail address.

ABOUT SitSpot DAY SCHOOL: Day School is a new concept in dog training. You leave your dog at the Center just for the day. While at SitSpot, your dog gets lessons, play time, and lots of pets. When you return you get a mini lesson to bring you up to speed on what your dog learned that day. It is a very effective approach and cost effective too! You can bring your dog to Day School one day a week or five. The choice is yours. This is a great way to get your dog trained by a professional. Day School is available most of the time except during holidays.

SitSpot Dog Training Center offers a wide array of proven, positive training programs for puppy and adult dogs. We firmly believe in the "first, do no harm" approach and offer classes at every level from puppy pre-school to competition-level obedience instruction. We use reward based methods because they are hugely effective and fun for both dogs and humans. Our classes are small so you can be sure you and your dog will get lots of personal attention.

We recognize that not everyone wants to turn out a graduate-level canine companion. Sometimes there is just one specific behavior that your Spot keeps repeating and that is all you want to change. To that end, SitSpot Dog Training Center can provide problem solving at our center or in the convenience of your own home and through our custom positive instruction system we can readily help you teach Spot more acceptable behaviors.
